Adhisthan IAS and its team observed that many intelligent and hardworking students were still unable to clear the Prelims examination. After interacting with a large number of such students, two major reasons emerged:
Ideally, a student should solve around 5,000 high-quality, well-researched MCQs, and whatever they study should be of superior quality so that their hard work does not go to waste. Keeping this in mind, in 2026 we designed a course in which, along with high-quality content-based classes, students solved approximately 15,000 questions live. Daily practice sheets were provided, along with weekly tests. At every level, students were constantly encouraged to attempt as many tests as possible, and this had a miraculous effect.
Adhisthan IAS and its team observed that many hardworking aspirants struggle in the UPSC Mains examination despite having good knowledge. After interacting with many students, two major reasons emerged.
First, most students lack proper guidance for answer writing. They often do not clearly understand how to structure an answer — what to write in the introduction, how to develop the body, and how to conclude effectively. Without understanding the demand of the question and its keywords, students find it difficult to present their knowledge properly.
Second, many aspirants face the problem of lack of well-organized and exam-relevant content. Even when they know how to write, they often do not have enough facts, examples, and analytical points to write strong answers.
Through this approach of concept clarity, quality content, guided answer writing, and continuous evaluation, the Mains Selection Batch helps aspirants build the skills required to perform confidently in the UPSC Civil Services Mains Examination.

The optional subject plays a very important role in UPSC preparation. If a student chooses the wrong optional, it can be very detrimental to the entire preparation process. Generally, students tend to choose an optional subject that can also be used in their GS papers. Although this is not a wrong approach, subjects like History,Geography,Economics as optional often become very bulky and complicated. Subjects such as PSIR and Public Administration involve so much current affairs that managing them becomes very difficult, and they almost turn into an examination in themselves.
